Athens Residency, 2026
Melissa Network for Migrant Women & Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation

Athens has become somewhat of a spiritual home for us over the years, and we were thrilled to be back to create, develop and rehearse amongst friends old and new.
We were so incredibly lucky to work in partnership with the Melissa Network for Migrant Womean once more, working within their beutiful new space, the Beehive Gallery. Being surrounded by the deeply moving photography of Enri Canaj, which documents the migration trail towards Europe, reminded us of the power of art to move, to empower, to challenge and strengthen.
We spent our time developing new ideas as well as preparing for a concert in order to celebrate the opening of this inspiring new space.

We also had the wonderful opportunity to work with the Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation to deliver two workshops within the Museum in downtown Athens - the first to preschoolers with pround physical disabilites and the second to carers and babies under the age of 6 months. Given that the four of us has our own extensive socially engaged community practice, it was a joy to come together to share our music with these groups and to connect together regardless of language.
